Sundays

Sundays are my favorite day. Well, they are after my head stops spinning around exorcist style trying to get the kids out the door for church. I love the church we go to. I love a laid back afternoon after church. Sneaking in a nap is wonderful when I can get one. Then it's time to get ready for youth group. Working with the youth in our church has been one of the best things I have ever started doing. They are such a great group of kids. Sometimes instead of youth group I will have a UMW meeting with the best bunch of women. It is so much fun to fellowship, laugh and learn with these ladies. Then it's time to head home to relax and prepare for the new week. I think Sundays should come more than once a week.

Do-overs

I'm going to try this blog thing again. I started this blog 2 years ago and posted a grand total of 10 posts. So I'm calling a "Do-over." I deleted those sad little posts and am going to start with a clean fresh slate.

I am Dee. I have been married to my husband, Brad, for 17 years. We have 6 biological children; Mattie, Jaycie, Shelbie, Bradley, Brady and Jeremy. We also have two "foster" children. Brittany, a friend of Mattie's, starting living with us in March of 2008. Just this last month her sister, Ashley, moved in with us as well. So that makes our household head count 10. Ten people in a house built for 4, maybe 6 if you stretch it, makes for lots of interesting challenges.

I hope to use this blog to encourage other large families and entertain people who think large families are crazy. Because, yes, we are crazy. But then again, isn't everybody just a little crazy.
